Sustainable and Responsible Pet Ownership

May 29 @ 6:30 am - 8:30 pm

Free

Many of us love our animals dearly, but how can we minimise their environmental impact? What are the most ethical and responsible ways of obtaining pets?

Local vet Sophie Hanmer will talk about:

– Ethical breeding and pet ownership

– Parasiticides and their impact on the environment

– Preventative health care

– Veterinary nutrition – meat alternatives

Following that, local poultry-keeper and pet owner Hazel Neal will talk about her experiences with rescued dogs, cats and chickens.

There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion

No entry free, but please let us know you’re coming by emailing SusDunsTew@gmail.com.
